A Visit from Harold

Harold
We have been lucky to have Harold visiting us lately. Harold and Jamie have been teaching us about our body. We have learned about our respiratory system. The children have learnt some songs about their breathing system.

ACTIVE Play

Cameron and Milo have made the mother of all houses! It has lots of spaces.

Reading to self helps us improve our reading.

James, Dongho and Max made a magnet house. They have ten ships. They fly off to another planet.

Finn and Hannah built a shop which sold tubes.

Lexie and Eva are planning a show.

Can we take your order?

During play this week we had a restaurant open for business.
We had seating for 3 tables.

It was fun placing our food order.

The waitresses brought the food to our tables.

The best bit was eating the yummy food.

Autumn

This week T14's big book was called Autumn. It had lots of interesting wow words in the book describing Autumn. We decided to go on a walk to see if we could see any signs of Autumn. We wrote lots of great wow words in our free writing book describing what we noticed.

Green grass turning brown.
Leaves floating onto the grass turning red, brown and yellow.
Trees standing naked in the autumn breeze getting cold.
Kids play in the leaves,
Jumping in the leaves,
Having fun.

Autumn leaves on the ground.
Leaves floating down.
Leaves on the trees.
One tree with no leaves.
Green leaves, dead leaves, yellow leaves, pink leaves.

The Terrific House

Easy Blog Photo
We made a bridge, a ramp, a rocket and a gun to go with our house. Jesse's rocket has a glider that comes off it. Cameron and Milo decided to build identical rockets. Everyone's cars are parked in the house.

We Are Excited About Seeing Harold Tomorrow By Lexie And Daisy

Easy Blog Photo
We think there will be a large giraffe called Harold in the caravan. We think it might be lying down because it's not very tall for a giraffe. Harold is going to be teaching us about our bodies.

T13 and T 15 trip to Orana Park

Ahuriri, T13 and T15 had a wonderful trip to Orana Park today. Although the weather started off with rain it soon stopped and didn't bother us on our travels around the animals. A big thank you to the parents who shared in our day. We couldn't do these trios without you.

Feeding the giraffes was tough. You had to hold on tight.

On sentry duty!

Spot the gecko

These are very young tuatara - only as long as an adult's finger.
