We said thank you to the emergency services today for all the hard work they have done this week in Christchurch.

Richie McCaw even saw our 'Thank You' from the helicopter he was flying and took a photo.

Shared afternoon tea with our whanau.

Thank you to everyone that came to our shared afternoon tea. We enjoyed showing you around our studio and sharing some songs with you.

Our Studio Treaty by Ti Kouka

We read the Tree Hut Treaty.

We made a Treaty for our Studio.

We coloured our hand prints to show we are all unique and special.

We are trying really hard to make sure we follow our Studio Treaty.

Welcome to Huritini...

Our Learning Centre is called Huritini (Who – rree – tee – knee)
Huritini is the original name of parts of the Halswell River. It means "many turns".

We made a mural to welcome you to Huritini.

We had fun working together to paint the mural.

We drew a picture of ourselves to stick on the mural.

We had heaps of fun using our hands to paint the river.

Ti Kouka's Scavenger hunt

We did a scavenger hunt in the studio today. We worked with a buddy that we didn't know. It was fun getting to meet new people.
We had to find lots of different places in the studio.

We tried really hard to take turns with our buddy.

What a great first day in Ti Kouka! We are learning a lot about each other while we are playing.

We read The Tree Hut Treaty and are now thinking of what rules we could have for our Ti Kouka Treaty.
