Wacky Wednesday

We had a great day been Wacky. We got to participate in some 'old school games'!

Then to top it all off we sat under the big oak trees and had lunch! Ka Pai!

Counting down to Christmas - A MATHS PROBLEM

In maths this week we have been working out how to make our own Christmas countdown chain. First, we had to work out how many days there were until Christmas. Then how many green and red pieces of paper we would need to make the chains. We had to fold the red and green pieces of paper in half  4 times to get enough pieces to make the right amount of chains. Next, we had to cut the paper and put our chain together. It was tricky.

We learned how to tie knots.

 After we had learned how to do a tricky part we showed other people what to do.

Firefighters

We were so lucky to have the firefighters come and visit us today!

When there is a fire we have to....

•  Get out and stay out
• Meet at Mr. letter box
• Do not go back into the house to get our toys!

Firefighters help our community by helping people in car accidents, putting out fires and rescuing people.

We got to go through their truck and have a turn squirting the hose! It was AWESOME!!!

Mrs Pareanga got to dress up in the firefighters outfit. We thought she looked soooo funny!

T15 Brownies

Today we made brownies  in cups. We used Mrs O'Callaghan's recipe which had lots of 1/4's in it. The brownies only took a minute to cook and tasted delicious.

T15 Fire Engine Visit

Today the firemen came to visit us. Firemen like to save lives and save property. They also rescue ducklings in drains.

If there is a fire you have to get down, stay low and get out. Meet at the letter box. You only take people with you. Cats and dogs are faster than us to get out.
